Bauerly and Malinoski Podium at the Grand Prix De Valcourt

The Grand Prix Ski-Doo de Valcourt has a long history offering some of the most exciting racing seen all year, and Ski-Doo’s 50th Anniversary celebration lived up to expectation. ISOC Racers took to the stage Saturday and Sunday in front of a wild crowd of snowmobile fans.

Pro Stock competition took place Saturday. With Ski-Doo/ BOSS Racing’s Robbie Malinoski up in Heat 2. He finished 3rd behind Gulla and Kaufmann, and advancing him to the final. Dave Allard finished his heat race in 4th in round 3, sending him to the LCQ1, where he ended his chances for the final in 6th.

During the final, Robbie was the lone Ski-Doo. Starting from the back row, he took a hard fought 7th place finish.
Paul Bauerly’s Saturday Semi Pro Stock event was one of the most exciting races of the weekend. Heat 4 led him to take a 3rd place podium position. He repeated his third place podium finish in the main, after a grueling battle. Cory Davis chased Bauerly on his tail for the last 7 laps of the final and passed Paul one lap before the finish making for a spectacular finish.

On Sunday Bauerly set up in round three of Semi-Pro Stock qualifying, taking a fourth place finish and sending him to the LCQ Round 3. Bauerly finished an impressive 8 seconds ahead of second, taking first and advancing to the second row of the main. He finished fifth in the main against an aggressive field of riders.
Pro Open brought 3 heats with 9 riders each,. Robbie Malinoski set up in round 2, where he took the win. Allard fought it out in heat 1 crashing hard and finishing 8th moved then moving to LCQ where he crashed again. This again left Robbie the lone Ski-Doo in the final.

In the Pro-Open Main, Robbie took the holeshot and led the race for 15 laps. Bender was in hot pursuit and due to technical issues with Robbie’s sled, Bender passed. Malinoski held TJ Gulla off and podiumed in 2nd place.
