Race Recap
Friday Practice was normal, things
ran smooth, no problems. The guys worked up a
little sweat, got a good feel for the track and
worked on dialing in the suspension and clutching
for the Saturday race.
Saturday- Ironwood offered a
massive and highly technical track with its two
sets of 'Geneva-Style' hill climbs and plummets.
The Boss Boys were still hindered with hole shots,
although Dave Allard really stepped up to the
plate, and made an impressive show of picking
off riders on the track. Dave Allard made the
final in the super stock, and both Robbie and
Dave made the final in the Open Mod class. Paul
Bauerly's commanding passing style, split-second
decision making, and highly tuned chassis exploded
the semi-pro races right open. Proving Paul, Ski-Doo,
and BOSS have been doing their homework, as Paul
won his first race from the front row.
Bauerly ran strong in both heats but, got bumped
off the track during the super stock final. He
pulled the hole shot during the Semi-Pro Open,
came into the corner tied for 2nd or 3rd, led
the race for the first half of the race taking
second overall. A 2nd place finish is nothing
to scoff at.. the semi-pro is a league in itself
with some of the best racing that Sno-X has seen
in years!
